About Us

We’re three friends who grew up in Portland, with a love for the Trail Blazers but a craving for more NFL football. Seven years ago, we cooked up the idea of turning every sports weekend into a mini vacation. Instead of watching the game on the couch, we hit the road to experience the roar of the crowd, the smell of tailgate grills and the charm of new cities.

Our adventures have taken us from the bright lights of Houston, where we caught the Rockets draining threes and the Texans battling at NRG, and even snuck up to San Antonio for a Spurs game (the tacos alone were worth the trip), to rainy Vancouver to watch the Canucks — who knew hockey and maple syrup went so well together? We’ve donned black and silver in Vegas to cheer on the Raiders and Golden Knights (nothing like combining touchdowns and slot machines), and we’ve flown east to Philly to see the Eagles fly, the Sixers ball out and the Flyers fling pucks like they’re cheesesteaks.

One fall we managed a whirlwind tour of the South: Memphis for a Grizzlies game (and ribs), up to Nashville for some hot chicken and Smashville hockey, then over to see the Titans make Sunday a real honky‑tonk. We’ve baked in the desert watching the Suns at Footprint Center and the Cardinals at State Farm Stadium and even caught the Coyotes howling in Glendale. We’ve braved Boston winters to cheer on the Celtics and Bruins and defrosted with clam chowder while the Patriots made fourth‑quarter magic. And who could forget Buffalo? We nearly froze our wings off but it was all worth it to see the Bills Mafia in action and watch the Sabres skate circles.

Through it all, our mantra has been simple: explore new places, make great memories and never take ourselves too seriously. One time we booked a stay in West Philly and realised we couldn’t walk a block in any direction without feeling like we’d stumbled into the wrong neighbourhood; we holed up, swapped jokes and watched the world go by outside like it was part of the entertainment. So whether you’re a die‑hard fan or just looking for a good excuse to see a new city, join us. Sportlandia is built for fans like us.
